• Education World for Preservice Teachers   Part of a very large site, this one is highly reccommended.
• ADPRIMA   One of the best sites I've seen. Very informative.
• Becoming a Teacher  is from the ERIC Clearinghouse on Teaching and Teacher Education. If you don't know about ERIC you aren't making the best use of the internet.
• The New Teacher Center   From UCSC, this site "is a national resource dedicated to teacher development and new teacher training, and the support of programs and practices that promote excellence and diversity in America's teaching force."
• Teachers' Mind   This site is a abridged version of the book Teaching in Mind: How Teacher Thinking Shapes Education.  A visit to this site is recommended.
• The New Teacher Page   An excellent guide for new teachers.
• Teaching Help   This Web Site is designed to give specific advice, help, and direction for those who view teaching as a profession not just a job. The HELP TOPICS have been gleaned from effective teachers who seem to get the most out of their students with low stress to themselves.
• New Teacher Survival Guide   This site's author says, "I've had a tough time learning how to be a teacher and have worked in five different public and private schools in Canada and the US. This guide is a sums up the really important things I wish somebody had told me before I started."
• New! Beyond Wong: recommended books   My own idiosyncratic, short list of books I have found that offer invaluable advice and information for middle and high school teachers.
• Ask an Expert: Teaching   Allexperts.com is a free question and answer service. Ask an experienced teacher about anything.
• Tips for New Teachers   Another personal page for new teachers.
• New-Teacher.com describes itself as "The place for new and aspiring educators". Now part of the Educators' Resource Center from Peak Learning Systems.
